PATROL REPORT – January 6, 2024

January 6, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

7:00pm  On duty KMA patrol entering Balboa  Peninsula No obviously nefarious looking bioluminescent waves  observed  no open garage doors No open alcoholic beverages observed while walking from G street to beach front . . Continue patrol of streets stopping to check construction site homes with little extra care. No signs of squatters no signs of property damage all constructions site homes relieved no signs of intruders  Sites are secure

8:00pm. Patrol unremarkable during this hour no changes in status. Site secure along beach access points and construction projects within the community. Courtesy notice given to Pier fisherman of Pier closure time. Construction site on Oceanfront appears open.  Area assessed with no signs of loitering individuals No nefarious characters encountered. Several residents on golf carts encountered. Site is secure

9:00pm No signs of loitering vagrants within any construction site. No open alcoholic beverages observed while walking from G street to beach fron area. . Continue patrol of streets stopping to check construction site homes with little extra care given while looking for signs of squatters or signs of property damage no graffiti or loitering observed Sites is secure No signs of vandalism or property damage observed no  nefarious characters encountered or open garage doors Beach front access points currently vagrants free or excessive noise coming from any residents.

10:00pm  Closure of beach, pier and jetty park went uneventful continue seeing individuals attempting to walk past patrol vehicle with its spot light pointed at a closure sign , Site is secure no graffiti, vandalism to life guard stations visitors departing as directed

11:00pm Continue to observe several visitors  seeking to access beach via Jetty park walk way which is being deterred by patrol vehicle presence with security performing foot patrol which was unremarkable site is secure.

12:00am Remaining near Jetty Park entrance as high volume of beach goers seeking access turned away. No garage door open during this patrol cycle Continue to deter beach access from balboa Blvd. Volume of attempted  visitors diminished  by intermediate showers occurring . Site remains secure no access to beach allowed.

1:00 am Security remaining vigilant to after hours visitors. Site remains free of vandalism excessive noise or disturbance by individuals seeking to continue social activities within the property grounds.

2:00am Patrol continues to focus on beach access points with Jetty park as site for majority of individuals seeking  Beach access. Patrol vehicle lights and spotlight used as deterrent with no combative or aggressive individuals encountered. Site remains secure.

3:00am. Final perimeter check of Beach access points were clear with no individuals encountered nor any vehicle with sleeping individuals discerned within the community. No garage doors discovered open or any signs of transients loitering within the community.  Site remain
