December 19, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
6:00-7:00….
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and up to E bay alley and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. BOAT PARADE. People gathering for the event. Then I patrolled down to jetty park and back up channel. Patrolling Balboa Blvd to channel and back. Then E bay alley. Then down to jetty park again and across ocean front alley and back across ocean Blvd. A continues patrol of the east side of the neighborhood were the parade is moving. All is well for now…..
7:00-8:00…
I then patrolled across ocean front alley to M street and back across ocean Blvd to channel. Then up channel to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then across to E bay alley and back across to the fishing pier and down to jetty park. The parade in full swing. All is well people are behaving nicely. Then across to L street and L Park and down to ocean Blvd and across to jetty park. All is well for now…..
8:00-9:00….
I then patrolled across to G street access and F street Access points then across ocean front alley to channel and jetty park. Then up to the fishing pier and Bay Beach. The parade is winding down people are beginning to leave. All is well everybody is well behaved and festive. Then a continues patrol of the east side of the neighborhood. All the boats appear to be heading back up the harbor. All is well…
9:00-10:00….
I then patrolled across to G street access and F street Access points. All clear. Then across ocean front alley to jetty park. Still people on the benches. The boat parade is officially over for the night. Valet crew is still here. A couple parties there working. I then patrolled across Balboa Blvd to E bay alley and back across to the fishing pier for closure. *** A couple people fishing all cooperative about leaving…..
10:00-11:00…..
I pulled in at A,B,C,D,E,F,G street and up to E bay alley and across to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. Then down to jetty park and across ocean front alley to G street access and F street access points. Then I patrolled across ocean Blvd to channel and up to Seville and Granada avanues and all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. *** Then down to jetty park. Several people on the benches. All cooperative for now. A few people on the beach left without incident…
11:00-12:00….
I then patrolled across ocean front alley again and back across ocean Blvd to channel and jetty park.*** I had a woman drive on the sand at jetty park. ****** I told her the area was closed instead of driving up channel she drove on to the service road at jetty park and on to the sand. She ultimately got stuck. I spoke to her and then informed Newport Beach police. They arrived within 3 minutes. Then they gave her a field sobriety test. The tow trucks arrived and the woman was detained. The car was pulled off the beach and towed . I then patrolled across ocean Blvd to G street and back across Miramar drive to channel and up to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. All is well for now…
12:00-1:00….
I then patrolled across to Miramar drive and Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L street and L Park and across to all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. I then patrolled down to jetty park and across ocean front alley to G street access and F street Access points.All clear. Then across ocean front alley to jetty park. *** 1 couple in the park. They left without incident…
100-1:30…..
I then patrolled across the entire perimeter and interior of the neighborhood. Balboa Blvd to G street and across ocean Blvd to channel and up to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. **A couple people driving around. They left upon seeing me……

2:00-300…
I pulled in at A B,C,D,E,F,G street and down to ocean Blvd and across to channel and jetty park.**** A few people with a metal detector in the park. Left upon request. Then across ocean front alley to G street and F street Access points. All clear. Then across Miramar drive and Miramar alley to I street and I alley to L street and L Park. Then across to all alleys on the east side of the neighborhood. Then a complete perimeter and interior patrol of the neighborhood. Balboa Blvd to channel and back down to jetty park and across ocean Blvd to G street and back to the fishing pier and the clubhouse. All is well code 4 patrolled….
