January 27, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7:00pm On duty KMA patrol Balboa Peninsula No issues of concern visible, . No garage doors open during first pass. Patrol vehicle stopped for perimeter check of Beach access point by G street. No visible signs of transients or nefarious individuals observed. Continuing down E Ocean Front Blvd checking I street then G street beach front areas. . Continue patrol of streets stopping to check Construction site homes assessed for signs of intruders no issues of concern. Continue patrol throughout streets and alley ways areas secure
8:00pm. No changes in status. No nefarious characters encountered. Several residents on golf carts encountered. Site secure. Small car bumper incident between visitors with police report generated between the parties. Focus attention on concern of resident at 2911 Channel Rd extra vigilante attention given to resident concern brought to security attention during passage of the property.
9:00pm No signs of loitering vagrants or excessive noise coming from any residents. No signs of vandalism or nefarious characters observed Site peaceful being vigilant for nefarious looking characters
10:50pm . Patrol . walking towards beach access area checking life guard station no visitors remaining on site Afterwards moved patrol vehicle towards G. Street as deterrent while clearing the distal end of the beach stopping at each . Access points . I street afterwards Warning individuals remaining are trespassing which prompted departures without incident
11:00pm notice several Newport Police Units driving down Ocean Blvd No issues of concern visible from this views point on Ocean Blvd couple provided with friendly reminder area is close at 10pm except for residents departed without incident
12:00am Continue to deter beach access from this location near 2911 Channel Rd Couple guys attempting to fish on pier informed of closure and hours of usage, stood by making sure these guys departed .
1:00 am. Site remains free of vandalism excessive noise or disturbance by individuals seeking to continue social activities within the property grounds.
2:00am Patrol beach access points clear no individuals walking the street of loitering in vehicles Site remains secure.
3:00am. Final perimeter check of Beach access points were clear with no individuals encountered nor any vehicle with sleeping individuals discerned within the community. No garage doors discovered open or any signs of transients loitering within the community. Site remains
