PATROL REPORT – December 22, 2024

December 22, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)

6pm to 3am S/O David Sierras

6pm – On Duty, Patrolling streets, alleys and parks… Several people are at the West Jetty View Park and Kids Beach to watch the boat parade.

7pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, several spectators remain watching the boat parade.

8pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, boat parade has ended and I am observing vehicles leave BPP.

9pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity to report.

10pm – Removing people from the pier and warning people the beach is closed.

11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed and I cleared the park of all visitors.

***11:55pm – I noticed two out of state vehicles parked near 1580 E Oceanfront, a male and female were sleeping in the white van, they both decided to leave and both vehicles departed the area.

12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, deterring incoming vehicles approaching beach and the park.

1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. I am deterring vehicles from parking near jetty park and from entering the beach.

***1:23am – I noticed an upstairs window open at 2021 E. Bay Ave, all windows are usually closed when the owner is not home

***1:47am – A white VW Jetta has its parking lights on and no one is inside the vehicle. The vehicle is parked near 1418 E. Bay Ave

2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction, observing and deterring vehicles approaching the jetty park.

3am – Off Duty.
