August 17, 2024 – (Balboa Peninsula Point Patrol Assignment)
7pm to 3am S/O David Sierras
7pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.
8pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no unusual activity.
9pm – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…… observing vehicle and pedestrian movement, no problems to report.
10pm – Removing several people from the pier and warning people the beach is closed.
11pm – West Jetty View Park is now closed and I cleared the park of all visitors.
**11:33pm – as I was driving pass 1509 E. Bay Ave I noticed the front door open and nobody was nearby, I rang the doorbell to make sure the residents were okay, a male voice said that his wife was outside and she will be returning soon.
**11:57pm – I noticed a white male with no shirt that appeared to be hiding from me behind a tree on the pier’s small beach near the shower. I asked him to leave because the pier and the small beach is closed at 10:00pm. He was cooperative and he walked to his white sedan and drove away.
12am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks…. Checking on homes under construction, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, deterring people from entering beach and the park.
1am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. I am deterring vehicles from parking near jetty park and from entering the beach.
2am – Patrolling streets, alleys and parks….. Checking on homes under construction…**2:11am I observed a black Honda Accord with two occupants parked against the red curb near the small beach and I asked them to move on, they drove away without any problem.
**2:25am – I observed a red Nissan with two occupants parked in front of 2205 Chanel Rd, they noticed that I was observing them and the vehicle drove away.
3am – No problems to report…. Off Duty.
